Tim was awarded CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist-Designer) certification in 1999, the highest of level of technical certification offered by the International Communications Industry Association. The CTS-D designation certifies expert competence in the areas of system design, facility design, ergonomics, ADA compliance, acoustics, projection and optics. He is renowned for his problem-solving skills and engineering ability in the development phase of every project, where he routinely finds creative, practical solutions that transform his clients’ ideas into reality. He has designed and installed a multitude of small and large-scale audio/video systems for high-profile exhibits and environmental media spaces nationally.
Tim is also a founding partner of Audiovisions, Inc., a post-production facility created in 1981 which specializes in media content for the museum industry. Tim was a principal electronic media specialist for Audiovisions prior to founding CED, Inc. in 1991.

As the Lead Project Engineer of Communications Electronic Design (CED), Mandie is responsible for translating system design in to schematic documentation for the purposes of “as built” delivery to the end-user, system integrity, quality control, and proper hardware identification and acquisition. Mandie is also a certified AMX programmer, and her expertise in control system design and implementation along with the implementation of the latest handheld control technology, places her among the most qualified in our industry.
Throughout her career implementing large audio systems in museum spaces, Mandie has developed the CED Audio Server – a combination of Richmond Sound Design’s SoundMan Server, audio routing components, and custom AMX programming – that allows the museum industry to use visitor sensors to control audio levels throughout the space. In addition to the front-end design and installation of these projects, Mandie manages the maintenance and troubleshooting of previous installations.
Bob's career in music and AV production spans 35 years. He is an award-winning principal video editor and sound designer, specializing in 360 Theater and surround sound environments. As the founding partner of Audiovisions, Inc., he also complements CED's aesthetic approach to system design through his perspective as an electronic media production specialist.

Darrell Smith has come back to work for CED after teaching art/design/broadcast engineering at Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky for over a decade. After managing over 2000 students in their artistic and broadcasting endeavors he is well prepared to assist CED in the successful organization and completion of the multifaceted audio/video projects that have made this company so sought after by museum designers across the country.
For the last twenty years Cameron Milby has applied his uncanny mechanical and technical problem solving skills to help CED overcome the most challenging A/V installation scenarios. He understands every nuance of cabling, projection suspension, and support systems/rigging which makes every job run smoothly and safely. Cameron's duties include shop fabrication, heavy machinery operation, in the field trouble shooting/engineering and overall quality control of installations . He is also certified at the bench-level for numerous AV equipment manufacturers.
Kyle Franklin is the team morale builder and resident comedian. Besides being gifted mechanically and having a tremendous eye for visual graphics alignments and sign fabrication, he is the guy that picks up the spirits of the crew when they are working on the road for an extended period of time.

Nick finished his Bachelor's of Fine Art degree from WKU (2017) and recently joined the CED team in helping us accomplish two major installation projects, one at the West Point Academy in New York and the other, the newly opened Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson, MS. He is a fifth generation fine artist versed in traditional mediums as well as those of the digital genre.
